Share imap folders with colleagues

Sometimes you just want to share some emails with just a couple of colleagues. You can do this easily by sharing an imap folder with you colleagues. Just make a new imap subfolder of your Inbox folder and share this using the Horde webmail client. Go to "Options->Share Folder". Then, using the selectbox at the right top of the page, select which folder you want to share. Finally add as many users with the desired priviliges to this shared folder.

It can be easy to create an extra alias to your email account, for which emails using that alias are automatically redirected to your shared imap folder. This redirection can be done with the Sieve filter client.

E.g. examencommissie@cs.ru.nl (rinus) is made like this!

Informatica Mail Aliassen

To make it easier to contact your colleagues by email, we have a few centrally administered email aliases. These aliases are only for internal use. So please don't publish them anywhere externally. This in order to prevent spam being sent to these addresses. The aliases for icis-all and the departments are automatically generated based upon our staff database. In particular this means that you don't have to register manually for these lists! The special groups are administered manually by Ronny Wichers Schreur.
