Custom Email groups : Mailing lists

There are two kinds of mailing lists:

  • basic mailing list
This is just a simple lists of mail addresses, which can be requested through Postmaster and after that maintained by the owners themselves through The Do-It-Yourself website
  • highly configurable and moderatable mailman mailing list
Usually one can add oneself to or remove oneself from such a mailman mailing list. Every mailman mailing list has a moderator, who can approve or reject messages to the mailman mailing list.

For more details see the C&CZ page about mailinglists

Informatica Mailing groups

To make it easier to contact your colleagues by email, we have a few centrally administered email groups. These groups are only for internal use. So please don't publish them anywhere externally. This in order to prevent spam being sent to these addresses. The aliases for icis-all and the departments are automatically generated based upon our staff database. In particular this means that you don't have to register manually for these lists! If a staff member is not on the list then contact Simone Meeuwsen to verify his entry in the database is correct. For new staff members it is often the case that they are not added to the database yet or only partly. For example the email adress is missing, because it was not known at the moment the entry was created. Note that it is also possible to be registered as guest to get your email address on one of these lists, contact Simone Meeuwsen.

Note: the sender's email address must match one in the list to be able to directly send to the list. Otherwise you have to pass the manual check of the moderator. Matching is done case insensitive.

Informatica Organisatorial Mailing Aliases/Groups

Aliases for Organisatorial Roles

For some organisational roles we have special email aliases. The idea is that the person performing the role can change, but the email adress stays the same.

Currently we have the following mail aliases:

These email aliases are maintained by Ronny Wichers Schreur in https://dhz.science.ru.nl and therefore the real addresses they currently refer to cannot be shown here.
