Virus Scanner software
Employees and students of Radboud University can download the F-secure internet security package free of charge via SURFspot (www.surfspot.nl). Within the surfspot website search for "F-secure Safe voor RU Nijmegen".
"F-secure Safe" is available for: Android, Apple Mac, iOS, Windows
F-secure does not protect against phishing, but it does protect against viruses sent in the attachments of phishing e-mails. Nevertheless, be cautious about opening attachments: security software will recognise viruses that are already known but does not always detect the latest viruses. It always takes a few days for a new virus to be included in the security software’s virus list, regardless of the package you use.
